Cisco Catalyst 4900 Series switches wired speed throughput on all ports from 96 Gbps to 320 Gbps. Performance from the 4900 series is never in question since switching is guaranteed regardless of the number of router entries or even if layer 3 or 4 services are enabled. The 4900 series was designed with CEF routing architecture which will allow for increased performance. The 4900 series is also equipped with hot swapping internal AC or DC power supplies for a non-stop operation. This hot swap feature also works for the fan trays as well. These are also act as redundant fans so you will have a larger selection of replacement fans.
